Save the Memories

Dementia can happen to anyone and there's currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021.

At Alzheimer's Society, we believe passionately that life doesn't end when dementia begins. We are here for anyone affected by dementia, and we do everything we can to keep people with dementia connected to their lives and the people who matter most. They have services such as the befriending service and singing for the brain and dementia friends!!

On Friday, the 16th of October the the Alzheimers Society and the Blooming Well Project put on the Coastal Walk from Craster to Amble (14 miles) event along the beautiful coast. 85 walkers and 11 dogs and Dominic Harris from Alnwick Harriers entered the GNR completing in a time of 1:34:17.
